EnRicH (European Robotics Hackathon) brings together European robotics teams, developers, and RN (radiology and nuclear engineering) experts to test real-world application scenarios in a controlled yet realistic environment – at a historic site: the never-commissioned Zwentendorf nuclear power plant. The goal is to demonstrate, further develop, and validate robotic systems that can be used in radiologically hazardous environments – for example, for detection, analysis, decontamination, or inspection.
The organizers of EnRicH 2025 are:
- The Office for Armaments and Defense Technology of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense
- EVN – Energieversorgung Niederösterreich
- Fraunhofer FKIE (Germany)
- The European Robotics Network
In addition to technical testing, the event also includes a research and development workshop, open expert discussions, and a competition section in which a jury selects the most effective teams. The main goal, however, remains the joint development of robust robotics solutions for radiological and nuclear applications.
By supporting EnRicH 2025, NEXOS.Group underlines its commitment to international cooperation, practical research, and the responsible use of robotics in complex environments.
We are proud to be part of EnRicH 2025 – where robotics meets reality.
