The HERROX.MD180 is the NEXOS.Group Mecanum drive unit — for OEMs, system integrators and developers building their own automated guided vehicles or mobile robots. A fully integrated module of Mecanum wheel, motor, gearbox and optional encoder. One of the most compact drive units on the market for the payload class it addresses.

Why Mecanum
Mecanum wheels enable omnidirectional motion — forward, backward, sideways, diagonally and freely rotated — with the same speed in every direction. This simplifies layout and operations: no manoeuvring, no turning, no reverse docking. For vehicles in narrow corridors, at stations, in aisles and for docking applications at machines, Mecanum is the technically superior drive type.
The MD180 form factor combines motor, gearbox and wheel in a single sealed module — reducing vehicle design effort, cable length and system fault sources in your OEM projects.

- In customer AGVs and mobile robots — as OEM drive unit. Full integration depth is possible: mechanical mounting, electrical, software interface.
- In remotely operated systems and special vehicles — wherever omnidirectional mobility is needed.
- As retrofit option — for existing vehicle concepts to be upgraded to omnidirectional motion.
