HERROX is the NEXOS.Group range of automated guided vehicles (AGVs) — omnidirectional Mecanum drive, autonomous navigation, no induction loops or wall-mounted reflectors required. Four planned payload classes cover intralogistics from small load carriers to pallet weight. Available today: HERROX.250. In development: HERROX.500, HERROX.750, HERROX.1000.
HERROX.250 — available today
The compact AGV for intralogistics — the smallest AGV on the market with up to 250 kg payload.
Vehicle & drive
- Payload: up to 250 kg (including lift unit)
- Footprint: approx. 600 × 440 mm
- Drive: 4× HERROX.MD180 — Mecanum technology for omnidirectional navigation (also in tight areas without manoeuvring)
- Speed: up to 1.5 m/s in every direction — same speed forward, backward, sideways, diagonally
- Positioning accuracy: ± 10 mm
- Safety: 360° protective field with laser scanners, no blind spots — independent, isolated safety controller
Power supply — 48 V system with quick change
- Nominal voltage: 48 V (new battery system for fast charging and double runtime)
- Capacity: 2.55 kWh · Power: 7.2 kW · Max. current: 150 A
- Two separate batteries with integrated battery management system — hot-swap capable, no downtime during change
- Integrated charger with charging socket — charging without external power supply
- Battery module weight: 13.5 kg
Payload modularity
The design is modular — the right payload is mounted for each application:
- HERROX Lift250 (lifting unit) — up to 80 kg or up to 200 kg payload, with bellows as anti-crushing protection
- Roller conveyors and bin receivers — for handover to conveyor systems or for standardized load carriers
- Manipulator / pick-and-place attachment — HERROX.250 as mobile robot base with cobot/robot on top
- Custom payloads — data and power interface for customer-specific attachments
Software toolkit — for the entire range
- HERROX Fleet — navigation and routing based on evolved ROS components. SLAM, mapping, routing, vehicle communication, video transmission — all integrated.
- HERROS (data platform) — data acquisition via vehicle sensors, transmission to the HERROX cloud, AI-based analysis, data preparation for operators or third-party systems.
- VDA 5050 ready — the standardized interface between AGV and higher-level control system; enables heterogeneous fleets of HERROX and third-party vehicles to be orchestrated.
- Communication: WLAN standard, 5G in preparation.
In development — the additional payload classes
The HERROX range is being systematically extended to higher payloads. For pilot projects or early involvement, please contact us directly.
HERROX.500
Payload up to 500 kg. For bins, sub-assemblies and medium loads. Same software stack, same drive technology.
HERROX.750
Payload up to 750 kg. Transition to pallet weight. For secondary packaging, intermediate storage, line supply.
HERROX.1000
Payload up to 1 000 kg. Pallet transport — from goods receiving to the line and to goods dispatch.
Why HERROX
- Smallest AGV with 250 kg payload on the market — the 600×440 mm footprint fits into corridors and zones that are too tight for classic AGVs.
- Omnidirectional Mecanum navigation — no manoeuvring, no turning. Repositioning and docking even in tight spaces.
- Fleet scaling without central single point of failure — new HERROX vehicles integrate automatically. Map extension for layout changes handled independently.
- Open and interoperable — VDA 5050 compatibility, ROS foundation. No vendor lock-in.
- Scalable range — one software stack, one drive principle — from 250 kg to 1 000 kg payload. Order today for .250, later extension with larger models without system change.
- Made in Germany — development and manufacturing in Germany, no international freight dependencies for spare parts.
