Internal material flow is the backbone of any manufacturing operation. Classic conveyor systems are designed to serve the same routes in the same sequence every day — they work perfectly as long as nothing changes. That is exactly the problem: product variants are rising, batch sizes are falling, layouts have to be adapted more often.

We close this gap with the HERROX.250 — our automated guided vehicle for containers and small load carriers up to 200 kg. Mecanum omnidirectional, autonomously navigating, with swarm intelligence instead of a central master computer. This is complemented by the HERROX.MD180 drive unit for integrators building their own mobile systems, and by the modular NEXOS.Motion gantry systems for palletizing and depalletizing applications.

All together: a growing, flexibly scalable intralogistics without rebuild phases and downtime.

Frequent layout changes

Conveyor systems are installed for years — logistics layouts today change every few months. Autonomous AGVs instead of fixed tracks are the answer.

Component selection, layout, schedule, cost framework. On request with virtual commissioning in NEXOS.XR before manufacturing starts.

Quotation

Fixed-price or milestone contract, with clearly documented scope of delivery, acceptance criteria and maintenance options.

Implementation

Prefabrication in the workshop, on-site assembly, programming, acceptance per documented FAT/SAT. Optional: remote service via NEXOS.DSP.

Can HERROX.250 be integrated into third-party fleets via VDA 5050?
Yes. HERROX supports VDA 5050 as a standard interface — vehicles can be integrated into master control systems that speak VDA 5050 (e.g. SAP EWM, Körber, KION software). Conversely, third-party VDA 5050 vehicles can also be integrated into a HERROX Fleet Manager.
Is the battery runtime sufficient for 3-shift operation?
HERROX.250 works with opportunity charging: short charging breaks during idle periods (e.g. during changeovers, waiting times). Vehicles can be kept in continuous operation over 24 hours — without battery swaps and without dedicated charging breaks.
How long does the roll-out of 5 vehicles take?
From order to productive operation: 8-12 weeks. Includes layout mapping, safety concept preparation, vehicle delivery, on-site training and pilot operation. Additional vehicles can be integrated within a few days.
What happens if the network connection to the master control fails?
HERROX units work with decentralized intelligence — every unit knows its current task and can continue it even when the network fails, or bring itself into a defined safe state. New orders are only accepted after the connection is restored — existing ones continue to run.
